ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Foundation Trust played host this week to leaders from across the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ and European healthcare organisations, shedding light on what it takes to deliver continuous service improvement. The annual Catalysis CEO Summit was held at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ District Hospital, providing healthcare leaders with opportunities to learn more about how to sustain continuous service improvements, including about the Trust’s approach known as Improving Together from the hospital’s staff.

Speech Therapist wins award nominated by patients and public

Speech Therapist Lizzie Goodyear won this year’s Patient Experience Award at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Foundation Trust. This award is nominated by members of the community and was presented at the Trust’s Staff Awards ceremony, held on Thursday 5th September. Lizzie is pictured above accepting award from Stephen Oxley, Stars Appeal Fundraising Chairman. Lizzie won the award for demonstrating commitment, compassion and care for patients. She was honoured for going above and beyond, using her experience and skills with British Sign Language (BSL) to improve the experience of Deaf and hard of hearing patients, and ensuring ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ District Hospital continues to improve as a Deaf-aware hospital.

Industrial Action by Junior ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ 27 June to 2 July

Industrial action by Junior ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ is planned from 7am on Thursday 27th June to 7am on Tuesday 2nd July. The hospital will be very busy, but will continue to focus on providing safe patient care. Our teams will continue to ensure patient safety and maintain critical services. During this period please consider alternatives such as your GP, local pharmacy, and out of hours, the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Walk-in Centre. Car Parking at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ District Hospital

Information about the car parking situation at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ District Hospital: The discussion around car parking at the hospital needs to be put into some context. On the 54-acre site ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ District Hospital has capacity for 450 inpatients per day, sees 250,000 outpatients per year and has a workforce in excess of 5,000. To cater for this, the hospital currently provides 2,177 spaces for car parking. There are 720 for patients and visitors which includes 20 drop-off bays, 115 spaces for blue badge holders and 14 spaces for charging staff and visitor electric vehicles, the remainder are for staff. Following the launch of the staff hopper bus, in March 2024, with changes in car parks 8 & 9, 40 parking spaces were transferred from staff to patients.
